About me: A friend of mine reached out to RAINN after she was sexually assaulted, and received the support that she needed to begin taking steps toward recovery. My friend is now a survivor of sexual assault, and has gone on to inspire so many others with the hope and strength it takes to overcome such tragedy. For this reason, I am forever indebted to RAINN, and am devoted to making sure that RAINN is able to continue providing the outstanding, life saving services that helped my friend to reclaim her life.

Event Description: Wine and Cheese party accompanied with a silent auction. There will be a cover charge at the door for all attendees, which will be donated to RAINN in its entirety. I have invited 50 guests and expect that most that come will do so with at least one additional guest. I will begin the night with a short speech as to why I have invited everyone to my event and why RAINN is an essential resource that is important to me. The remainder of the night will be filled with wine and cheese tasting as well as the silent auction. The wine and cheese were donated by a local grocery store and the items up for auction are gift certificates donated by local retailers, so all proceeds from the event will go directly to RAINN and the services they provide.
